Department of Aeronautical Engineering will aspire to accomplish worldwide recognition and excellence in the field of Aerospace industry by providing quality Education through world class facilities, enabling graduates turning out to be Professional Experts with specific knowledge in Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering.

Mission

M1: To be the state of art Teaching and Learning centre with excellent infrastructure and empowered Faculties in Aeronautical Engineering.

M2: To promote a culture of innovation among students in the field of Aeronautical Engineering with updated professional skills to enhance research potential for innovative projects.

M3: To bring up young individuals to be knowledgeable, skilful, and ethical professionals in their pursuit of Aeronautical Engineering.

Programme Educational Objectives [PEO]

PEO 1: Possess a strong foundation in Mathematical, Scientific, and Engineering fundamentals necessary to solve engineering problems in the field of Aeronautics.

PEO 2 : Engage in designing, simulating, manufacturing, testing, and analyzing in the field of Aeronautical and allied Engineering Industries.

PEO 3: Acquire enhanced skill to involve in research and development activities in emerging areas ,pursue higher education , Work effectively as individuals and as team members in multidisciplinary projects ,involve in lifelong learning, career development and adopt to social needs.

Programme Outcomes [PO]

The graduates of Aeronautical Engineering will be able to:


PO1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, to the solution of Electronics & Communication engineering problems.


PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.


PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for engineering problems and design of system components or processes that meet the desired specifications.


PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.


PO5. Modern tool usage: Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools to various engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.


PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the background knowledge to assess societal issues and the resulting responsibilities to the professional Electronics engineering practice.


PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.


PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.


PO9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

PO10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PO11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PO12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

Programme Specific Objectives [PSO]

PS01 : To employ the familiarity of aeronautical engineering in novel, lively and demanding atmosphere for design and expansion of innovative products applying the fundamental concepts of mathematics, science and engineering

PS02: To provide professional training and apply ethical principles for sustainable development with an understanding of solutions to asses social, health and other issues relevant to the aircraft industry.

PS03 : To function effectively as an individual or team with good communication and project management skills to carry out a task with the help of lifelong learning.
