Permanently affiliated to Anna University, this is the most sought department with all the basics taught within the labs. Our students regularly visit IT Companies in Bangalore and Chennai to understand the culture within the IT industry. Regular training for coding and external training by experts with Workshops and Webinars from the US is arranged periodically to speak directly with software developers.

An entire block with more than 600 computers is setup for students to utilise. More than 5000 members have written online exams in JCET in 2019-2020 as we are the only region to hold the IT infrastructure. Bank, Police and other Goverment examinations are regularly held at our Campus. 

Permanently affiliated to Anna University, there are top-notch faculty members with ample experience in their respective subjects. Half the classes are held with the practical training and our students are given hands-on experience at JCET.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering which was started in the year with intake of 180 Which offers a UG Programme (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering and PG Programme (M.E.) in Applied Electronics. The Electronics and Communication Engineering are gaining importance in all works of life. The advancements and technological innovations in electronics are felt in area as diverse as commercial communications, medicine and defense.

The department places strong emphasis on fundamentals, so that the student is introduced to complex subjects in an interesting and easy manner. The Department imparts technical knowledge in the areas of Semiconductor devices, Design of Electronic circuits, Communication engg., Television engg, Satellite communication, Optical communication, Computer hardware interface and Biomedical instrumentation.

Permanently affiliated to Anna University, the students from this department manage to learn the best from EEE & CSE and are trained to get placed in either a CORE company or in the IT industry.
